Alas!

gaudior:
Hey all-- eredien was wondering about this, so I thought I'd make a post to clarify things. It's a good idea to post comments, not by responding to someone else's comment, but by posting a new comment. This is for two reasons. For one thing, otherwise we get to the really silly position we were in a little while ago where we're so far to the right that
the conversation
goes
kind
of
like
th
is,
and it gets annoying to read.

For another thing, if we're saying that everyone is in the same room having a conversation, then comments should go in chronological order, if that makes sense. If, say, Eiri-san said something six comments ago, then if Akito responds to that post specifically, it means that Akito has just gone back in time three minutes (and if Akito had the ability to time-travel, I think it would so have been used by now...) and commented, ignoring everything that has been said since. That makes it hard for there to be conversations with the whole group, rather than just between two people or so. In that case, if I really wanted Akito to respond to what Eiri said, then I could do what one really does in a conversation with many people, and make a new comment addressed to Eiri by name or *glance*.

Does that make sense? syonakeleste, does that sound about right?
